Gilroy Transit Center

Gilroy Transit Center is a multi-modal transit center and park-and-ride facility that links South County to the greater Bay Area region through Caltrain services, VTA bus fleets and Greyhound buses (also serve interstates), para-transit and taxi services. Gilroy transit center is also the future home of California High Speed Rail station in South County that would connect Bay Area region to Central Valley and Southern California.

This vibrant transit center consists of seven (7) bus bays that accommodate VTA’s standard and articulated buses, and five (5) state-of-the-art customized bus shelters furnished with pedestrian amenities such as benches, telephone cabinets, and information kiosks. Each bus bay is lighted with a custom-designed lighting pole and luminaires. The transit center is complemented by bike and pedestrian facilities as well as a welcoming entrance to Caltrain Depot building.

As lead consultants to VTA, DEENSCORP provided preliminary engineering and final design services for the development of contract documents. Design integration with architects and other engineering disciplines was performed during the design development of the project. DEENSCORP also assisted VTA construction management team during the construction phase.
